Borough of Pendle Elections Thursday 04 May 2018

The Labour Party retained all of the previously held council seats that were up for election in 2018

Labour held Bradley (Cllr Mohammad Iqbal), Brierfield (Cllr Mohammad Arshad), Cloverhill (Cllr Kath Shore), Southfield (Cllr Mohammed Armer), Walverden ( Cllr Julie Henderson ), and Whitefied (Cllr Asjad Mahmood).

Russell Tennant, Chair of Pendle Labour Party sends his thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for all of our candidates and also to our members involved in the election campaign, for their hard work and dedication to the people of Pendle.

Snap General Election Thursday 08 June 2017



Pendle Labour Party is delighted that Councillor Wayne Blackburn, the Labour Party candidate has slashed the Conservative majority to 1,279.

Lancashire County Council Elections Thursday 4 May 2017

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England has published its final recommendations in its review of Lancashire's Electoral Divisions. The new electoral arrangements for Lancashire have now been approved by Parliament and were in place for the County Council elections on 4 May 2017.

Borough of Pendle Elections Thursday 05 May 2016

Congratulations to Mohammad Sakib, Naeem Ashraf, Eileen Ansar and Sheila Wicks on their re-election. Special congratulations to George Adam on his return to Pendle Borough Council.

Overall Labour have lost one seat, Liberal Democrats have lost one seat and Conservatives have won 2 seats. The new party composition of Pendle Council is:Conservatives 21 seats, Labour 17 seats, Liberal Democrats 10 seats and BNP 1 seat.

We thank our candidates who took part in all the elections on 5th May. We especially want to thank everyone who gave up their time to work for the Labour Party during the elections.

Borough of Pendle Elections Thursday 7 May 2015

Congratulations to Nadeem Younis, Nawaz Ahmed, Bob Allen and David Whalley on their re-election. Special congratulations to Wayne Blackburn on being elected for the first time.

Well done to Ian Graham, who was just 32 votes short of taking Waterside.

Overall there is no change to the number of seats held by each party.

We thank our candidates who took part in all the elections on 7th May. We especially want to thank everyone who gave up their time to work for the Labour Party during the elections.

European Parliamentary Elections Thursday 22 May 2014
(Results declared 26/05/2014)

The Labour Party topped the Polls in the North West increasing the number of Labour MEPs to 3.
The elected Labour MPs, in the order declared are:Theresa Griffin, Afzal Khan and Julie Ward.

The Largest share of the vote in Pendle was for Labour the Conseratives came third behind UKIP. To check the results in Pendle and elsewhere in the North West visit here.

Pendle Labour Party thanks the voters of Pendle who voted Labour in the EU elections and we wish Theresa, Afzal and Julie well, in what we feel is going to be an interesting term for European and UK politics.

Borough of Pendle Elections Thursday 22 May 2014

The Labour Party gained one seat on Pendle Borough Council; Yasser Iqbal was elected as a new Councillor in Reedley, defeating the Conservative Candidate.

In Southfield, Mohammed Ammer was also elected for the first time, to replace retiring Labour councillor Sheena Dunn, who we would like to thank for her service to the people of Southfield.

Labour held Bradley (Cllr Mohammad Iqbal), Brierfield (Cllr Mohammad Arshad), Cloverhill (Cllr Kath Shore), Walverden ( Cllr Julie Henderson ), and Whitefied (Cllr Asjad Mahmood).

Overall Labour had the highest share of the votes in the elections - over 2,000 ahead of the Conservatives.

We thank everyone who took the time to vote for all of our candidates.
